- Project Brief: Create a billboard that generates excitement for Supergirl by using immersive outdoor design and the character’s playful personality to capture attention.
Entertainment print has to grab a passing eye and say something about the story in one beat. The Supergirl billboard does that by skipping the usual hero pose and showing the character slouched against the frame, scrolling her phone like she's bored of being looked at.
The interaction is the whole gag. She leans on the structure and the dog perches up top, so the ad reads as a 3D scene rather than a flat poster, and the giant S-shield punches through the middle to anchor it.
The copy matches that tone. "Truth. Justice. Whatever." takes the classic Superman creed and shrugs at it, which tells you the film's attitude before you've seen a frame.
Color does the heavy lifting from a distance. Bright comic-book blue, red, and yellow keep it loud against a brick streetscape, so the placement pops without extra clutter. For a film launch, entertainment print this playful is a smart way to set expectations.
