  • Project Brief: Create a commercial that celebrates the enduring connection between adidas Originals, Oasis, and generations of fans through an emotionally driven tribute to music, football, and cultural identity.

A commercial works when it sells a feeling instead of a product. Adidas Originals' "Original Forever," winner of the Entertainment Lions Grand Prix at the 2026 Cannes Lions, pulls that off by celebrating the Oasis reunion through the fans who kept the band alive, not the Gallagher brothers.

The look is gritty and nostalgic on purpose. Grainy textures, washed-out black-and-white footage, and old archival-style overlays drag you back to the 90s Britpop days, so it feels more like a cultural artifact than an ad.

The edit rides the music. Set to a new take on "Live Forever," it follows a crowd surfer through time, from the early 90s to Knebworth to the 2025 reunion, with quick cuts landing right on the beat.

The type does just enough and no more. Bold white lines like "A new generation also answered the call" cut through the dark footage, nodding to adidas's stripped-back design language while the visuals carry the feeling. For a collaboration built on all that shared history, a commercial this real is exactly the right call.
