- Project Brief: Create a campaign that connects football fans to the excitement and global spirit of the FIFA World Cup 2026.
A commercial earns fan trust by leading with the fan, not the brand. The "FIFA World Cup 2026: For Fans Everywhere" spot for Marriott Bonvoy and Visa gets that right from the first frame. The deadpan voiceover dismisses relaxation and sightseeing inside 15 seconds, turning a travel ad into a fan mission.
Director Hernan Corera shoots it like a heist movie with jerseys. The editing moves at highlight-reel pace, cutting between nationalities fast enough that Marriott lobbies start to feel like staging grounds.
The Korean family standing in formation and the Brazilian drum line flooding the entrance work because neither shot overstays its welcome. Every nationality gets a beat, not a feature, which is what keeps the energy honest.
Marriott and Visa stay in the background for most of the runtime, which is exactly where they should be. The brands show up as infrastructure rather than the point, and that's the decision that makes this commercial feel like it belongs to the fans.
