- Project Brief: Create a campaign that builds excitement for the FIFA World Cup by imagining a historic victory on home soil.
A commercial that imagines something that hasn't happened yet only works if it makes you feel the loss of missing it. FOX Sports opens in the 97th minute of a fictional World Cup final with Pulisic scoring the winner on home soil, and earns it by playing the whole thing completely straight.
Lance Acord shoots "Miracle" like a broadcast memory: sweeping stadium frames, fan faces that already know the outcome, slow motion that feels earned. The red, white, and blue never reads as branding because it is already the color of the event.
Elvis Presley's "The Impossible Dream" does the emotional work a voiceover never could. It ties American nostalgia to the global stage without explaining why a country not known for football should care about hosting one.
Brady, Ibrahimovic, and Eruzione each represent a different version of belief, and none of them feel like a guest appearance. The casting is precise enough that the commercial lands as a cultural argument rather than a celebrity roster.
