A short film about Disney princesses could've just leaned on the old films and called it a day. "Once A Princess, Always A Princess" does something way sweeter, handing the whole thing over to real little kids playing pretend, so the magic bubbles up off a bedroom floor instead of a screen.
The whole thing runs on a kid's imagination. The living room becomes a storybook castle, a paper crown turns into the real deal, and it all feels like something your own kid might throw together on a rainy afternoon.
And honestly? The sound does most of the heavy lifting. A few hummed bars of "A Whole New World," some giggles, a little whimsical music, and you always know right where you are in the story without anyone saying a word.
Alex Prager Studio treats all that pretend like it deserves a full film crew, with dollhouse-perfect sets and big dramatic camera angles. Which is kind of the whole point: the princess magic was never really in the movies, it was in the playing the entire time.
