  • Project Brief: Create a commercial that encourages homeowners to improve climate resilience by introducing a free digital platform that delivers personalized property insights and practical preparedness guidance.

A commercial works when it turns a data problem into a story people actually feel. Suncorp's Haven, winner of the Titanium Grand Prix at the 2026 Cannes Lions, does that by giving Australian homes a voice instead of a spreadsheet full of risk scores.

The structure builds trust step by step. It opens with the threat of climate change making homes uninsurable, narrows to a single pilot house, expands to a whole street and lands on a nationwide platform, a progression that earns credibility before asking anyone to believe the bigger claim.

The proprietary data feels almost cinematic. Twelve data sets translate into a house speaking directly to its owner about fire, flood and cyclone risk, and that shift from abstract statistics to a personal warning is what makes the science land emotionally.

The platform backs the story with real utility. Free access for non-Suncorp customers, maintenance schedules and local tradesperson referrals turn awareness into action, and giving away that data to competitors' customers is the kind of design choice that puts community safety ahead of a sales pitch.
