Entertainment website design for a film studio has to match the maker's taste. Ravi Klaassens presents A24 Film's catalog as a row of physical discs, each film printed on a CD that slides across a clean off-white stage.
The disc metaphor carries the whole concept. Every title gets its own printed CD art, and the horizontal scroll pulls them past like flipping through a record crate, which turns browsing into a tactile act.
The hand-drawn ring adds a human mark. A loose ink circle scribbled around the active disc breaks the polish with something playful, so the selected film reads as hand-picked rather than auto-highlighted.
The type stays editorial throughout. A serif face handles titles, credits, and star-rated critic pull quotes, giving the catalog the feel of a printed film journal rather than a streaming grid.
The film-still takeover deepens the mood. Clicking a title fills the screen with a full-bleed frame and staggered serif words, so each project shifts from disc to immersive poster without leaving the system.
