Levain Bakery was founded by two friends, and is headquartered in the Upper West Side in New York City. The overarching goal was to create a local place with greatest chocolate chip cookies.

At the top of the homepage, a delicious looking cookie is found on the right, with complimentary messaging that describes the baker on the left. This simple idea introduces the main product from the beginning very well. As users scroll down, a personalized message tells consumers what day of the week it is, the bakery's location, and more.
On the bottom, there are cute illustrations for three categories. This adds a unique brand style, which builds the company’s character and personality — and in this case, Levain did excellent job. In addition, the New York City skyline illustration adds even more personal touch, showing that this company is all about local, handmade values.
