A Nightmare Experience - Avoid at All Costs
I had high hopes when I started working with Celect Studios, but my experience turned out to be nothing short of a nightmare. What was initially promised to be a 4-month project has now dragged on for two years, and we have absolutely nothing to show for it.
From the very beginning, it was clear that this company has no regard for industry best practices in programming and the structural development of mobile applications. If you're looking for a professional, reliable partner for mobile app development, this is not the company for you. Their work lacks quality, and the final product is far from functional or complete.
Throughout the process, I went through four different project managers, none of whom had any idea what they were doing. Each time a new one was assigned, we had to start from scratch, and the confusion only grew. They all seemed to be passing the blame around while accomplishing nothing.
But the worst part? The contracts. We had two broken contracts during this ordeal, and getting any response from their so-called legal department was like playing a cat and mouse game. The "legal department" wasn’t a department at all—it was just a wall of silence and evasion. When our "project manager" suggested we contact legal for a refund due to the contract breaches, our request was flat-out denied. They missed every single deadline, broke every promise, yet had no trouble taking our payments when it was time to move to the "next phase" of the project.
At this point, I’ve even filed a complaint with the Texas Attorney General because I truly feel scammed. However, I’m not sure that will amount to much considering how this company has handled everything else.
In short, I strongly advise against doing any kind of business with Celect Studios. They are all about getting you in the door and taking your money, and when you try to hold them accountable, they just ignore you or waste more of your time. There are far more professional and reliable companies out there who actually care about delivering quality results and customer satisfaction. Even a one-star review is way too generous at this point.
