Graphic Design Review from Candice Wynter (She/Her)

My organization worked with Creative Repute over a nearly 6-month period (January 2021 - July 2021). Everything Creative Repute developed for us is still functioning great and running smoothly. While we had to work out a few process and timing kinks along the way, CR was a joy to work with and a hard working team. If you're looking for a creative, thoughtful, and values-forward team, then look no further than Creative Repute.

The Colored Girls Museum has now worked with Creative Repute Design Agency on several high visibility projects . Including Custom Wallpaper designed by Nile Livingston which took center stage at Philadelphia Airport backing our installation (Sit A Spell ) which was on view for nine months. The inspiration for the wallpaper came from Niles postcard design for our show The One Room Schoolhouse . We loved the design so much we created other merch around it . At present the wallpaper can be seen at The Colored Girls Museum in the Colored Boys Room. Most recently Creative Repute turned around the poster appearing soon at Mother Bethel which is the kick off location for The Tribute to The 7th Ward Legacy Reclaimed . Walking Tour . Always a pleasure to work with Nile and her team . Excellent customer service , beautiful design work .Most important to us intuitive and client centered approach to graphic design that exceeds what we can imagine when we approach them with a sketch of an idea. Hire them !Bonus fact Nile Livingston is one of the portrait Artist at The Colored Girls Museum , now also on view at Mother Bethel.

The team at Creative Repute has remained consistently responsive and patient as we all adjust to the changes happening in the world due to Covid-19. They creatively redesigned our Save-The-Date to accommodate a virtual event because we are unsure about when people will feel comfortable meeting face to face again. I appreciate the project manager’s uplifting, calm, and positive outlook and the quality of their team’s design work. I highly recommend.

I have been printing marketing materials for 39 consecutive years in the construction, fitness, and restaurant industries. This company has been one of the most detailed, most responsive, and easiest to work with in all my years. I’ve had some great vendors but I have had to mold them over the years. This firm and specifically Phil were top shelf from the outset. Do yourself and your business a favor…call them. SCL

It has been an absolute pleasure to work with CH Web Agency. When we set out to redesign and revamp our website, we issued an RFP that ended up being nationally competitive. While most firms led with their own qualifications and work samples, CH Web's proposal stood out as the only one we received that also went point-by-point through our RFP to thoughtfully address the issues we identified and goals that we had for the redesign and development of our new site. Once their proposal was accepted, Oxana and Joe met with members of our leadership team in person and via Zoom to gain a stronger understanding of our organization, our programs, and our goals for serving our stakeholders through the improved site. They brought an excellent attention to detail to the project, a curiosity about our organization, and a desire to really udnerstand how our stakeholders use our website and where it could be improved. CH Web outlined a well though-out process and timeline that ensured we launched on time, that content was thoroughly reviewed and updated, and that the features we requested performed exactly as we hoped. Post launch, Oxana and Joe have been very timely and helpful in their responses to support requests. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend CH Web Agency to anyone looking to develop their website.

We recently had the pleasure of working with the web design company Chapel Hill Web Agency for the development of two websites for our university – for Duke Medical Physics Graduate Program and for Duke Center for Virtual Imaging Trials (CVIT), and I must say that we are thoroughly impressed with their work. The team demonstrated exceptional creativity, responsiveness, professionalism, and friendliness throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, Chapel Hill Web Agency took the time to understand our vision and goals for the websites, and then went above and beyond to bring those ideas to life. They presented us with several unique and creative design options that perfectly captured the essence of our university, and then worked tirelessly to refine those designs until we were completely satisfied.Throughout the entire process, the team at Chapel Hill Web Agency remained incredibly responsive and communicative. They kept us informed every step of the way and were always available to answer our questions or address any concerns that arose. Their professionalism and attention to detail were evident in every aspect of the project, from the design phase to the final launch of the websites.Perhaps what impressed us most about Chapel Hill Web Agency, however, was their friendliness and approachability. Despite being a highly skilled and professional team, they were always warm and welcoming, making us feel like valued partners in the project. It was a pleasure to work with them and we look forward to collaborating with them again in the future.Overall, we would highly recommend Chapel Hill Web Agency to anyone looking for a web design company that combines exceptional creativity, responsiveness, professionalism, and friendliness. They truly exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are thrilled with the final results of the websites they designed for us.

CH Web Agency led us through a total renovation of our nonprofit website. Having only been in my position for a few months when we started, I was very overwhelmed and unsure about the project - but Joe and Oxana organized our work and our conversations and brought a sense of calm and expertise that made working with them a true delight. They did a lot of research behind the scenes to understand our work and our brand. They came to every meeting with an agenda, answered our questions quickly, followed up appropriately, and kept us on track the whole time. They resolved unanticipated problems that we brought to the table with patience, speed, and grace. And our website looks great! I would recommend CH Web to anyone without reservation - they were absolutely wonderful to work with.

Frequently Asked Questions About Print Design Agencies

What services do these agencies typically offer?

Print design companies create visual assets specifically for physical media, ensuring designs translate accurately from screen to print in terms of color, layout, and material quality.

Their services typically include:

  • Marketing collateral design: Brochures, flyers, catalogs, postcards, and other printed promotional materials.
  • Brand stationery: Business cards, letterheads, envelopes, folders, and branded office assets.
  • Large-format print design: Posters, banners, signage, event displays, and retail graphics.
  • Packaging and label design: Product packaging, boxes, labels, and inserts designed for retail and distribution.
  • Editorial and long-form layouts: Magazines, books, newspapers, reports, and multi-page publications.
  • Print-ready file preparation: Color setup, layout finalization, bleed and trim settings, and coordination with printers to ensure accurate production.

These services remain in demand because print itself is still growing. The U.S. commercial printing market is projected to grow at a 3.1% CAGR from 2025 to 2030, reaching over $150 billion by 2030.

Which industries benefit most from investing in professional print design?

Industries that rely on physical touchpoints and in-person decision-making see the most substantial returns from professional print design, such as:

  • Retail and eCommerce:
In 2024, packaging was the largest U.S. commercial printing application, influenced by retail and consumer goods. Professionally designed packaging, labels, and promotional materials directly impact brand perception and purchase decisions.
  • Healthcare and pharmaceuticals
Print remains essential for patient instructions, compliance signage, and regulated packaging.
  • Hospitality, events, and tourism
Signs, banners, and posters were the highest-revenue print product category in 2024, supporting guest navigation and event branding where digital access is limited or impractical.
  • Real estate and corporate services
High-value transactions depend on brochures and property materials that reinforce professionalism and credibility.
  • Education and nonprofits
Printed materials such as brochures, posters, and direct mail remain effective for awareness and fundraising, particularly with offline audiences.

How do I choose the best printing method for my business?

Choosing the right printing method when searching for a print design firm is a production decision. It depends on what you’re printing, how much you need, and where it will be used.

Here’s what you should consider:

  • Defining the purpose of the print
    • Marketing materials, packaging, signage, and operational documents all require different durability, finishes, and visual impact
  • Considering print volume
    • High-volume runs are typically more cost-efficient with offset or lithographic printing
    • Low-volume or variable runs are better suited for digital printing with minimal setup costs
  • Matching the method to the material
    • Screen printing: apparel, fabric, or promotional products
    • Large-format printing: banners, posters, or displays
    • Flexographic printing: labels and packaging
  • Assessing quality and finish requirements
    • Projects requiring precise color control or brand consistency benefit from higher-resolution printing methods
  • Accounting for turnaround time and flexibility
    • Digital and print-on-demand methods support faster production and personalization without excess inventory

When do print design agencies recommend print over digital design?

Print design is typically recommended when brands need trusted exposure that supports long-term brand recognition rather than short-term digital traffic.

  • High-trust marketing
Print ads are more trusted during purchasing decisions. A study found that 82% of U.S. consumers trust print ads, compared to 61% for search ads and 25% for digital pop-ups, making print effective for high-consideration products and services.
  • Physical brand touchpoints
Print works best for materials people keep or interact with physically, such as brochures, packaging, business cards, signage, and direct mail.
  • Local and in-store impact
Retail, real estate, healthcare, and hospitality brands benefit from print for in-store promotions, menus, and informational materials where digital access may be limited or distracting.
  • Campaigns requiring focus
Print reduces competition for attention compared to crowded digital environments, helping messages stand out without relying on interactivity or screen time.

How much do top print design companies in the U.S. charge?

In 2025, top print design firms charge between $100 and $150 per hour. Here are the average costs by print asset:

  • Business cards: $50-$2,500
  • Book covers: $150-$500
  • Posters: $150-$250 per hour
  • Billboards: $150-$500 per hour
  • Banners & signage: $600-$800
  • Brochures & flyers: $2,500-$10,000
