Our questions are important to us, and it would be nice if someone there would return calls when our call goes to voicemail 95 percent of the time!!!!!! The Cobra section is the worst! Come on, folks...get with the program over there or sell that place to someone who will! "

If only Zero or half stars was an option. First BC is NOT an insurance company, they’re the “manager or as they call themselves advocates” for in my case Aetna. BC claims to be patient advocates yet it appears that they don’t know the meaning of the word. They do not understand the plan(s), much less have they read the agreement with my employer and their customer service is substandard! They fumble around giving false, misleading or just wrong information, example advocate Missy or Misty. Sadly I’ve had to deal with BC as they manage my health care plan Aetna for over 27yrs. It appears their primary goal is to avoid and deny claims! To have a claim “reviewed” it takes an act of congress and a lot of phone calls. I was promised a head supervisors phone call within 72hrs thats well over 300 hrs ago, thankfully I didn’t hold my breath!! Sadly, I’m stuck with this three ring circus and clown show. Boon Chapman should be ashamed.. "

We hate this company. My husband had a procedure that our previous carrier paid at 100% because it is part of wellness care and preventative care. They paid NOTHING!!! Now we owe $1200 on something that has always been covered by UHC and BCBS. The employer was notified of this as well and they were not aware that this company is not serving their employees. "

Absolute worst experience ever. I am a breast/skin cancer survivor. I qualified for reconstruction surgery and my surgery was approved. I’m a single mom living in San Antonio with a young boy and no family here. My sister spent money to fly here to help care for my son and I as I healed from the surgery. 4 days before my surgery, the insurance company denied my surgery saying it was not medically necessary even though my implant is leaking into my body. My doctor moved mountains to get them all the supporting evidence they needed to approve it. A rep from Boone Chapman called me to say it was approved and all was well. So my sister flew here and we did all the necessary steps to prepare for the surgery. The morning of the surgery, as I’m on my way to the hospital, my doctor calls me to inform me that it was again denied but this time because they mixed my chart with another patient. I was told my surgery was canceled until someone could review my file later that day. I am at a loss for how this can happen. I have no idea when my surgery will be and if they will find more reasons to postpone it or try to deny it altogether. In the meantime, my sister spent hundreds to fly here and is taking a week away from her family and work for nothing. If I could rate less than 1 star, I would. If you are a benefits rep or shopping for insurance, DO NOT CHOOSE this company. "
