I cannot say enough great things about the team at Codesmith and I am not even in the program yet. They are spot on when they promote they have created a community of some of the best people I have had the privilege of getting to know.Their free programs such as their CSX JavaScript learning portal and their weekly workshops are great to attend and really enhance any studying/practicing you are doing on your own.The staff truly cares and truly wants you to succeed and that speaks volumes in this day and age. I never felt like I was just prospective money to them like with other companies you see advertised on social media who are just about collecting your tuition. If you are interested in getting into software engineering and looking for a home where you will be valued as an individual and respected by a community; please look no further than Codesmith. "

Haven't been to this place but I have gone through some of their javascript tutorials on YouTube and believe me when I say this - "Those tutorials are insanely detailed and easy to understand". The instructor named Will seems like the kind of person who is obsessed with communicating the most complicated programming concepts in the simplest manner possible. Not sure about what the place must be like, but their instructors are top-notch. Keep it up fellas. If I ever get a chance to visit NY in the near future, I will pay a visit to this place. "

I have been to their JavaScript the Hard Parts events, and have always gotten something new out of it. Will and Phil(both the lead instructors) are phenomenal, and they make sure everyone in the meetup are able to grasp the core concepts. Seriously, the classes are very explicitly welcoming of people from all backgrounds as I am still very new to programming. I will definitely be coming back to most of their events, and would recommend anyone that is learning programming to attend! "

Codesmith has to be the best kept secret in the software engineering education sphere. The free workshops are, by far, the most comprehensive and in-depth lectures you're going to find on the east coast. (Yes, the entire east coast. MIT is NOT free.) If it's not the free workshops and other community events that set Codesmith apart from other programs, it's the diversity of the staff and students.I've been attending JavaScript: The Hard Parts for an entire year now and within the first month I felt like a seasoned part of the community. This place goes well beyond coding and you'd be hard pressed to find another community that even comes close. "

I attend Javascript Hard Part workshop every Thursday. They also have Easy part, I think on Tuesday. All that I can say they are amazing, and it’s completely free. The instructors really like what they doing. During the workshop we are looking at the code, and instructor clearly explains line by line, to make sure that everyone in the room understand what is going on, of course if you have any clarification they always happy to answer. I am so happy that I found this Bootcamp and I recommend it for everyone I know. If you want to change careers and maybe you thinking about a software engineer, you can always come to these free events and decide if it's for you, like I did. But anyway they are welcoming for all levels of experience. "
