Dorst MediaWorks Reviews

Steve Dorst produces high quality videos, and is a pleasure to work with. He understands filmmaking, and bridges that with the messages and objectives of video. The quality of his film making is very high--a very nuanced and sophisticated story telling, with high production value. "

I am really lucky that I have worked with Steve Dorst in my hometown to shoot a promo, presents my town for worldwide WRI Prizes. I have learned a lot from Steve as his colleague of him.I have not seen a director before, can handle a lot of stuffs together himself for making film. Like; directing the film in a limited time, getting and understanding the story about where ever place he works, handling any equipment alone (being sound and gaffer, drone pilot, writer, grips, DOP, DIT etc.) , coping with the people in the places, he works for his projects, praying like a priest for the good weather to shoot nice frames to reflect the real and nice scapes and taking care of the kids. Finally editing.and handing out the film. When I saw the promo he shot for my hometown I could not beleive my eyes it is my hometown. He was great tough and master of succeed of shooters ;))I can scream until my lungs give out "Talent".Amazing. He would better stays in the states for not to him taking over our jobs here. Man good to know you, I can't even chase you.I wish your career last for long.Hugs. "

Steve Dorst made a fantastic video for us on a particularly tight deadline! It was a challenging assignment as he had to film in Senegal for three days and then write and edit a script in both English and French. Steve’s experience working with development organizations was evident as he turned around a strong script in a very short time. We were incredibly proud to feature the video for the Senegalese delegation at the World Bank Group Annual Meetings Our team is pleased with the result and looks forward to collaborating with Steve again. "

My NGO has contracted Dorst MediaWorks multiple times to produce videos that tell the story of our global impact. As communications director, I worked with Steve Dorst directly--he’s talented, creative, efficient, and flexible. He gets nonprofits, he gets international development--he just gets it. On top of that, he’s a total pleasure to work with. "

Steve produced a highly successful documentary video series for the International Monetary Fund in 2017-18, featuring our work in Colombia, Ireland, and Vietnam. The videos have so far garnered more than a million views on our corporate video channels, and continue to do well. I am extremely impressed by Steve’s work, and highly recommend him both as an accomplished storyteller and capable project manager who needs very little direction and supervision. "
