Established in 1961, Advanced Business Machines (ABM) began with sales and service of typewriters. Over the decades, the office evolved and so did we, adding copiers and fax machines to our portfolio. Then the copier industry changed forever at the turn of the century as they went from analog to digital.
Our History
Our president, Peter Parisi, bought ABM in 2001, expanding the company and capturing a large part of the market in Rhode Island because of quality service and great products. Growing from annual sales of $500,000 in 2001 to $10,000,000 a decade later, we received multiple Fastest Growing Companies awards during this time period, according to Providence Business News Book of Lists. In 2011, ABM was transformed and rebranded as INNOVEX, signaling a broadening of offerings that included IT services, as well as digital marketing, all geared to the business needs of Rhode Island. We also expanded our reach to include the Boston metro area.

Now a multi-million dollar business with over 50 employees, INNOVEX is separating its technology offerings from the marketing ones, and putting our focus on technology. In this age of converging technologies, our plan is to be the region’s single source for the technology that businesses require.

Lease printer from this company. Believe I was double billed and charged for overage uses that I do not think apply. Online meter reads they ask me to enter which are right off the printer are rejected. Calls to go over billing or to talk to sales rep result in zero call backs. Not Impressed! Under contract with them for our copiers, and after 2 days they have not supplied us with a waste toner collection part and our copier has been down for 48 hours and counting--they were called on Monday morning, and Tuesday morning, it's not Wednesday. I give this review not because of the quality of the copier, which I truly like, but for the lack of service. After receiving my machine I placed over a dozen calls and sent emails seeking to upgrade the machine. Not one call back. The only time I received calls was from meter reading. I did receive an email after a expressed dislike for the lack of return calls and was informed that it was being forwarded and someone would call me back. That was 3 months ago. They did offer us a great deal on a copier with a service contract. Their technicians are also great people to deal with. Their service dispatch stinks like nothing else. It takes several days just to get a tech to come out. Messages do not get returned, and promised calls never happen. I have to hound the guy for work to be done.
