As a retired IT systems architect and volunteer I took on a project to modernize the aging IT infrastructure at our small volunteer nonprofit (501.(c).3) ambulance service here in West Central Florida. Some of our requirements included working with our stakeholders to collect and document requirements Onboarding of sub vendors ( structured cabling contractor and voice over ip telephony vendor) as well as take responsibility for the overall project management and delivery to requirements. Additionally, ProTek IT Solutions took on the acquisition, engineering and deployment of our high availability fully redundant network infrastructure in both of our building as well as negotiations with our existing ISP and on-boarding secondary ISP for redundancy. This project took approximately 4 1/2 months and the outcome overwhelmingly exceeded the expectations of not only myself but also the board of directors and volunteer community. The level of communication, documentation ( both technical and training ) was easily the best I've seen in my plus 25 years in the industry.
