SSOFB is a small, versatile firm, with a wealth of relevant experience. Our core member is an experienced programmer, with a background in graphics and usability. We also have a diverse team of specialists; Designers, Programmers, Systems Engineers, Artists, Copy Writers and Usability Engineers, that we can pull in when required.
As well as providing services directly to companies and organisations we also work in partnership with website consultancy services companies, delivering solutions for their clients.

We are also active members of the Open Source development community, and as such, we are proud to be a member of the biggest and best development team in the world.

The name, Software Systems: Open For Business is intended to explain what we do on several levels. We provide software systems. We work in a transparent and open way. We provide systems based on open source. Our systems are for businesses (and organisations).
Our customers are both local and spread around the world, including Aberdeen, Glasgow, Edinburgh, London, Inverness, Amsterdam, Chicago, Dubai, Utrect, Manchester amongst other locations. We've worked with AXA Insurance, NHS Highlands & Islands, Oil & Gas UK, GDF Suez, Sports Scotland, Oxfam, Safety Scotland, Macdonald Hotels, New Holland, Ford, Polaris, Vetcare, Cairngorms National Park, HIE, NHS Fife, ACVO, Sage, North Lanarkshire Council, Cornerstone, City of Edinburgh Council and many less well know companies and organisations.
