StarTrail is an APAC-based AI-native content studio. We make live-action film and television, and commercials, using a pipeline built around AI rather than one that bolts AI onto a conventional process.

Most AI video fails in the same two places, and neither is resolution. Characters drift — the face is subtly a different person from shot to shot — and worlds drift, so the room changes its own architecture between cuts. Both are control problems, not generation problems. Our proprietary stack, StarTrail Phoenix AI, addresses each: an AI Performance System that drives micro-expression and acting detail from dramatic motivation rather than preset expressions, and a light-and-material layer that holds one physically coherent world across a production.

That control is what makes the economics work. Pre-production stays human — worldbuilding, character design, visual direction. Mid-production shifts to AI for large-scale performance and imaging, compressed into roughly 45 to 60 days where a comparable shoot-and-VFX pipeline would take months. Post-production returns to classic craft: editing, sound, colour. AI handles scale; people handle meaning.

We supplied the core AI technology on the theatrical feature No Other Love — character reconstruction, digital-human performance and fully virtualised environments across nine key shots, several close to a full minute at cinema resolution. Our own titles have been recognised at the iQIYI Nadou AIGC Venture Summit, where Non-Player Consciousness took first place in the roadshow, at the Beijing International Film Festival's AIGC Section, and at the AAFF International Ark AI Film Festival.

We work with productions needing imagery beyond what their budget can buy traditionally, brands wanting commercial work at a cinematic standard, and IP owners adapting catalogues conventional economics would never justify.
