David Block's Studio RedEye was referred to us by a mutual friend who had used his industrial design services in the past. We had an idea for a product that made it easier for fingernail polishing, but had no idea where to start. After explaining our concept to David, along with a rough sketch, David took us through a series of steps where we first identified images we liked. This process of elimination gave him a foundation to begin the design process. Once again, as the design took shape, David kept zeroing in a final look for us that was both functional and had a clean design. The next stage involved building and testing prototypes, and then finally a blueprint to have a mold made. Throughout it all David was patient and so easy to work with. Incredibly, when we did finally launch, the design and function was so good that we won a number of awards, were considered to be in the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Art gift shop, and went on to become the top seller on Amazon in our genre, even becoming a 'top ten stocking stuffer gift' during Christmas. David's pricing was reasonable and he truly cared about our satisfaction no matter how many tweaks we had to ask him to make. David ended up designing several more products for us, all which became best sellers on Amazon and in retail stores. His excellent work only added to our ability to sell the entire company at a price we could never have imagined possible when we first started.
