Am a newcomer to Canada and came down to get my Local Mobile Plan and a Home WIFI setup. Isiye (not sure if that's how its spelt) assisted me and with great patience across almost 1.5 hours worked with me to set up both, even recommending a bundle that met my unique needs and still saved money.The long processing time was due to my local postal code somehow being wrong (eventually realised that the agent gave me the wrong postal code on my RTA form). But all these were settled and Isiye was totally patient and cool throughout, trying to get to their own tech support for advice.I came at the start of the day and there weren't many other customers, so I guess that really helped given the long time I spent there trying to sort things out. Big thanks! "

Telus is currently switching over their network to a 100% fibre optics -- "PureFibre" -- system, with much faster down/upload speeds and reliability than the legacy copper-wire network.It was my turn this week, and installation of the new equipment necessary for compatibility with the PureFibre system went very smoothly.The tech called/texted in advance, and arrived at the house punctually during the time-window specified. Before starting on inside installation, he very diligently checked that the previous exterior drop/lead work, necessary for interior connection with the new network, was all in place. Only then did he install the several new boxes/units both inside and outside for telephone, modem/router, and Optik TV.The only somewhat negative comment to make -- and I really don't like making them tbvh -- is the Telus booking/appointment situation surrounding the PureFibre switch-over. My appointment was changed 3 times firstly due to area/time scheduling factors.Yet, secondly, the installation was almost pushed back 3 weeks because the information on file, that Telus customer bookings had about the exterior work completion by sub-contractors, was not accurate. Verification is always great, but I found myself feeling the need to call bookings to sort out my puzzling duplicated appointments, and also to inform and enquire about the status of that crucial preliminary exterior work.Everyone with Telus customer care is definitely super helpful and very polite ... but there could be a bit more efficient inter-communication to avoid this type of scheduling confusion.At the end of the day, the whole interior installation process went much faster and more smoothly than expected, and the very efficient tech fully explained the new equipment installed and any changes from the old system/setup. All in all, apart from the scheduling issues, it was a very good experience with Telus. "
