Year Founded
1982
Founded in 1982, our President, Jim Perrier, knew that our industry would be rapidly evolving. That foresight made us take a look at our business a little harder. Jim struggled with how to clearly communicate our culture so that all the employees would act and make decisions for our clients using the same set of values and knowledge as the employees in the rest of the company.
Traditionally, technology companies design from a technology-first perspective, not from an end-user experience perspective. UDI does things differently. We start by studying the end users to determine how theyll use the technology. This approach allows us to build the right technology for the right space. By coupling in our project management and change communication teams, we can focus on making sure the transition is smooth and your users are up and running.
UDI derived our project management methodologies from the standards set forth by the Project Management Institute. We tailored the PMI standards to support complex technology relocations and create our unique project management program.
As organizations increasingly leverage technology as a workflow experience, its critical to position a change communication plan that can communicate the message clearly and in detail, with integrity and authenticity. The consumer of the technology receiving this messaging must be ready to listen, understand, and trust the messaging. The delivery should align with the culture of the organization and structure at which the consumer of the technology is accustomed to maximize the absorption of information, efficiently and effectively. Finally, the content of the message must be powerful enough to energize the consumers of the technology where incite excitement for the change and adopt new technologies.
