"Our role as designers is to be invisible – the less the viewer/reader is aware of the design, the more successful we are at creating intuitive, engaging and impact work."

Brett Jefferson Stott has worked in creative positions since 1994, building a career that spans design, education, entrepreneurship, and international collaboration.

He spent over a decade in London, where he led a design agency and record label, founded The London Festival of Photography, and presented a youth project to the United Nations in New York. His work has been exhibited internationally and featured in major outlets from TIME to the Financial Times, with collaborations including Tate Modern, the British Museum, and The Guardian.

Now based in Cape Town, Brett is founder and CEO of The Ethical Agency, a 27-person studio dedicated to clients who care about people and the planet. Outside of design, he has been published as a photographer and songwriter, performed as a musician, and values his roles as a husband, father, and mentor.
