The project began with a cheerful waiter character inspired by the stewards of the historic Compagnie des Wagons-Lits, capturing the charm and agility of someone who could easily balance a bottle and glass on a moving train.
GLAD Studio expanded this idea into a full logo system supported by custom lettering that nods to the iconic typography found across the London Underground.
Together, the illustrated mascot and bespoke wordmark create a warm, energetic identity that feels ready for adventure, giving Le Wagon-Lit a personality that stands out both on signage and in print.
Gweno, the founder of GLAD Studio, brings a multidisciplinary approach shaped by years of exploring interface design, motion, illustration, and typographic craft. Based in Quimperlé, France, he works as a visual cartographer of sorts, mapping out brand worlds through expressive forms and narrative detail.
His practice spans projects for startups, festivals, cultural organizations, and international companies, all approached with curiosity, craftsmanship, and a taste for discovering new visual landscapes.
