- Project Brief: Create packaging design for Giadzy Pasta that communicates Italian culinary heritage and premium ingredient quality through a warm, approachable brand experience.
Food packaging for a premium pasta line turns the box itself into an illustration. A Studio gives Giadzy Pasta a deep green cut-paper hand that cradles each pasta shape in gold, framed by a serif wordmark and a die-cut window onto the real product.
The hand-and-pasta artwork gives every box in the range its own portrait. A green silhouette holds casarecce, taccole corte, or ziti above the window, so each shape gets a distinct illustration while the layout stays consistent.
The gold and green palette signals the premium Italian promise at a glance. Metallic gold "GIADZY" lettering and the "Dolce Vita by Giada De Laurentiis" script over cream read as heritage and quality before you reach the shelf.
The cut-window system ties the illustration to the pasta inside. Each die-cut opening sits where the gold shape would fall, so the drawn pasta and the real slow-dried pasta line up as one continuous idea across the lineup.
