  • Project Brief: Create a campaign that reinforces Columbia Sportswear's adventurous brand identity through humor, cinematic storytelling, and an interactive global challenge.

A short film earns its Grand Prix by committing fully to a joke and never breaking character. Columbia's "Expedition Impossible" does exactly that, running its entire premise on the deadpan challenge to Flat Earthers to find the edge of the world and claim the company as their prize.

The editing keeps the humor moving fast. Quick cuts, punchy pacing and a short runtime match the rhythm of a viral clip, letting the joke land before it wears thin.

The graphic language borrows straight from social platforms. Clean branded overlays, bold text cues and meme-style energy make the film feel native to YouTube, Reddit and the feeds it spread across rather than a traditional TV spot.

Product integration stays light on purpose. Columbia gear appears in action throughout the film but never crowds out the premise, tying the whole thing back to the 'Engineered for Whatever' platform without turning the joke into an ad.
