We found ourselves in the hands of QBO after our previous accountant merged her practice with theirs. We didn't feel great about the process in working with them for tax prep and pursued other help after one year. Our new accountant caught a major error within minutes of scanning through our QBO filings which cost us well over $2,000 at the time.We followed up with their team to understand how an error like that could have happened. I was assured by the president that he would personally investigate; I never heard back.

I've had a great experience working with WCG CPA & Advisors, especially with Jose Castro-Antunez, EA. I recently started a business and wasn't very familiar with tax preparation and planning. Jose and his team have been extremely helpful--very knowledgeable, professional, and responsive. In the past, I had negative experiences with several accountants who either didn't answer my questions or were slow to respond. With Jose and his team, it's been the complete opposite. I've asked a lot of questions, and they've always been patient and thorough in explaining things to me. I truly appreciate their support and guidance, and I would highly recommend this group of accountants to anyone looking for reliable and responsive tax and business advisory services.

Let me start with the positives to be fair: The team has always been professional in their communication and onboarding felt easy and welcoming a few months ahead of tax time.But when it was time for actual filings to happen, it started to fall apart.WCG says they're great at S-Corp elections, both on their website and client comms -- saying they have a "100% success rate". But sadly they failed on mine. 8 months later, the IRS confirmed to both myself and a new CPA firm that they never received the retroactive election from WCG. I asked, bumped, and probed the team several times to follow-up on this... and I felt like our conversation just went in circles.Asking simple questions were also just too much to get a straight forward answer on. And in the final state tax filing, there was an error that would have added an additional $900 in fees added to my total cost, further showing the lack of detail WCG had on my file.Because of this failure, it caused the later federal and state filings to be rejected -- something they had no awareness, stemming from the lack of awareness of the IRS never receiving the initial S-Corp retro election. It now has caused a ripple effect on my business and personal filings... This has already triggered several thousands in penalties, and I'm having to pay for documents to be drafted once more by another firm.I'm not sure if the firm is now oversubscribed with clients, but things are not in alignment with what it seems others typically experience. I would suggest business owners look elsewhere to ensure your filings are accurate.

Please do your research before having anything to do with this company. Choosing them has been one of the worst decisions of our lives. We chose them based on their largely positive Google reviews. And while Matt is certainly the ring leader, the entire company (Debbie, Annie, and Elee) consists of people who are missing morals, ethics, and any sense of societal responsibility. When Matt did our taxes we owed 20k. When I hired a third party to redo our taxes because something felt wrong, we received an 11k refund. That's nearly 100k of exaggerated income. Not to mention the fact that they owe us an additional 70k. The efforts we are going to have to make to get our money back is going to cost us an excessive amount of time, energy, and resources. But, we've worked really hard for our money and we are motivated to get it back.

My experience has been mainly with Debbie though Matt was the one actually doing my grandfather's taxes. Debbie has been very patient with my grandfather and her true care shows as she helps him understand difficult tax concepts and find the best solution for his needs. Had a terrible experience with Gheen & Co. They managed our books and taxes for a few years. From the beginning the communication was spotty, they never answer the phone and get back to emails at a snails pace. On top of that they missed $40,000 in taxes we owed and never alerted us it was due. We had to hire a third party book keeper and it took them months to fix the mess they made in our quickbooks. After canceling with them they sent us a bill for our 2023 tax filing with was completed looong time ago.

Everyone at this firm has always treated me nicely and with respect. I was late getting all my necessary information to file my return and therefore needed to file an extension. They took care of this and that helped me a lot since I am in a wheelchair most of the time. We will never use them again. They made some big errors on our 2023 tax return and then wanted to argue when we questioned them. The lady actually started yelling at us. We finally went to a CPA for a review and we were correct. These people claim that everything is rechecked for accuracy which is not exactly true. Save your money and go to a competent CPA

So sphiscated accounting systems I must say. For what? Never saw an irs payable in any return they asked me to prepare although I’m no licensed accountant. No names no whistle just a honest google review. Makes me wonder what an accountant does, cooking books or AICPA reporting them. No mark up in my basis. The roc building is beyond comprehension though, they even do SNL up or down stairs never got to see a show so I don’t know
