To make things even more suspicious, the IRS later sent me a notice for a 941 overpayment of $4,000, and $1,000 suddenly appeared in my bank account with no explanation. That’s a total of $5,000 that I know was taken. ( If we look closer we will probably fine a few more dollars taken) The money only reappeared after I pressed hard and made noise. They were nice and respectful on the surface—but that didn’t stop them from stealing from me behind the scenes. If you’re a business owner, beware. Do your homework. Trusting the wrong people with your books can cost you more than money—it can cost you peace of mind.
