I was there at Perceptive Analytics for a while. During that time I had the opportunity to work with the CEO very closely. The man built the company from ground up all by himself. He once taught me some grammar in english, that's how much interest he took in me while I worked there. I happened to work with some of the most smartest and talented people from amazing institutions there. My advice if someone wants to work there is to be super smart or super hardworking.... I have worked at Perceptive Analytics for approximately 10 months and my time at the company was awesome, to say the least. I have learnt a lot about sales and marketing which will be helpful for me going ahead. I have interacted with many clients and potential clients as well, and I got to learn a lot from these interactions. I also had a lot of freedom to experiment in my role, which was instrumental in enhancing my experience. The tasks I attended to were not limited to a specific domain but that only helped in increasing the potential of the job and though challenging, the role was equally rewarding for me. The work atmosphere is very good and the hours are very flexible. All the policies of the company are explained to the employees well in advance so as to avoid any confusion. The only problem that I've come across is that at times, you may have to work a little extra during peak season: like working for a while over the weekend or staying back for a while after working hours. On such occasions, work-life balance would take a hit. Work from home policy helps in these cases, though. I would definitely recommend working at Perceptive Analytics.

Spent 15 minutes doing a survey that promised $25, but when I got to the end after it asked me to confirm the email address I want the gift card sent to, I next got the following message instead of the $25 gift card: "Thank you for your interest in taking this survey, however, the survey has already reached the required number of respondents. We appreciate your willingness to share your opinions with us." I think that would have been good to know BEFORE having me take the entire survey. Thanks for wasting my time and collecting my data for free!

For a new mother, going on barely any sleep, taking care of a newborn, and in need of an extra 5 bucks for baby supplies this was disappointing. Don't waste your time! Results of surveys conducted by this company are not valid and cannot be useful because their methodologies are wildly unethical. I received several requests by mail to participate in a survey being conducted by this company on behalf of OHA. I chose NOT to participate in the survey, which asked personal and confidential questions about mental health history and substance use, because i am a practicing psychotherapist, and I do not make these kinds of disclosures to anyone who is not my doctor. Eventually, several "researchers" (marketers) showed up at my home address to pressure me into responding to their survey, even noticing the "no solicitation, please" sign on my door and commenting "we're not here to sell anything." First of all, anyone door knocking as part of a research study should have a baseline understanding of what the word "solicit" means, which means TO ASK FOR SOMETHING, like for example, responses to a survey. Secondly, no survey in which participants are "selected" and then pressured to make disclosures about their personal and confidential health information at the threshold of their own homes is ethical. if responses were not collected ethically, then i simply do not see how the results of such a survey could be unbiased and informative in any way. As a tax payer whose dollars likely contributed to the hiring of this firm, i'm angry about the waste of money, and also about being harassed at my own home. Furthermore, it upsets me that the results of surveys that have not passed through any formal review process can be published and presented alongside information that has. this is precisely the kind of thing that undermines legitimate and useful research, biasing lawmakers and constituents alike. Ick.
