Professional and personable. Highly recommended. "Evan Brown's Review Sourced from Google
A remarkable film on a remarkable evening in a remarkable venue supporting the adage that (at least sometimes) the best things in life can be free…The Refilmery monthly Filmmaker Series is an experience, beginning with the artistic feel of the We Work Building in SoHo where everything takes place -- an informal gathering with refreshments that includes the artists followed by the screening of the film followed by a question and answer session with the director. On the evening of September 30,members of the assembled audience left their seats to travel the layered byways of the Filipino landscape, physical and social. The film, ‘Graceland’ is a thriller that will keep you guessing, and guessing wrong, as the story relentlessly absorbs your attention.Afterwards, the film became even more intriguing as Filipino-American director Ron Morales explained in a talk with the audience how he had walked the tightropes of film economics and highly controversial subject matter to arrive safely at his final product. Even his casting and location decisions are revealing. The next screening is November 2. If you are anywhere near Manhattan, I suggest you get on the mailing list as soon as possible.
