Poor Technical & Customer ServiceFIND ANOTHER OPTION TO RECORD YOUR EVENT. AVOID VIDEO PARACHUTE. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE!!!Below are facts related to the day of the event including direct exchanges with both TW, the owner and JB, the videographer. I am using initials because as clients we were never given full names, just initials. Hmmmm. The technician, JB, was booked for a ½ day contract (4 hours) upon TW’s recommendation. TW is the owner On the day of the event, I called and spoke directly to TW by phone at 3:40pm to ensure his technician would arrive by 4p to capture behind the scenes set-up and footage. TW assured me JB would arrive at 4p. (Excellent so far. We were able to speak to an actual person, TW, who knew what was supposed to be happening!)When JB arrived on time (going great so far!) I introduced myself to him and walked with him to the stage where I clearly said “Please be sure to get this behind the scenes, pre performance footage”. He agreed to do so and then said ‘...he needed to set-up and scope out Orchestra Hall for additional recording points.’ (Great, again!) All three members of our team, including the lead performer, verbally confirmed with JB to capture specific shots explaining how he could access the stage for closeups. JB agreed with these directives. (Still going well at this point).None of our team members saw JB for over two hours. We did not hear from him, nor did he ask any questions of us (The decline begins) Disappointingly, we know he did not follow those requests he agreed to because the footage sent to the performer after the show was of remarkably poor quality. To be clear the footage is usable, but fails to meet the basic industry standards. JB’s footage:-was filled with angles that were too far from the subject-did not provide clear or sustained viewing of the subject or the intricate movements associated with the performer.-did not capture the multiple facets of the evening's performance-lacked fluidity and continuity-failed to capture the behind the scenes/ pre setup he agreed to recordPART 2:In the post recording meeting between the performer and TW, I listened first hand to T.W. as the concerns about the product were presented to him. He offered that “I am sorry you feel this way” statement which does not take accountability for the poor quality recording and inadequate preparation by the technician. So, hold on there, TW. We are addressing the visual factual evidence, not feelings. It becomes obvious TW promised more than he and his team could deliver. As a small business owner I actually understand why this happens and could have had some compassion for his position. UNTIL…1. Instead of taking accountability for the obvious lapses (TW has the actual recorded evidence of the JB, his own employee, missing key parts of this process) TW repeatedly spoke at the client overly aggressively and even cutting off the client when they responded.2.When asked to produce the notes he took based on the schematic the performer presented, he could not produce his own notes. To be clear, we entered into this contract willing to pay the fees for specific services rendered and those services were never delivered. We received a variation of what was initially agreed upon. At each moment when TW could have offered compromise and solutions, he was unable to extend the maturity and professionalism needed when complex issues arise. Our team entered into this initial contract hoping to cultivate a long term client relationship with Video Parachute. Instead we are left with no choice but to deal with inadequacies and warn others to move past this company. Quick. "

I had an amazing experience working with Video Parachute on two videos for an upcoming fundraising event. Both videos were incredibly well done and truly captured the heart of our mission. We received so many compliments from event attendees, and they played a big part in helping us reach our fundraising goal! The entire team brought care, creativity, and professionalism to the project—taking it from script to final product in just a few weeks. I am so grateful for the team's adaptability, attention to detail, and responsiveness to feedback to complete these projects so quickly while still maintaining quality! "

Video Parachute are not only wonderful to work with but also produce AMAZING work! The video they made highlighting my most recent event blew our team away! One of the team members even said that the video produced by T.W. and his team was the best video we have had to date. If you are looking for a videographer, look no further. I highly recommend them! "

I've chosen Video Parachute as my agency's production partner on four projects -- two virtual and two in-person -- and each time I come away wondering, "How could have done this without them?". T.W. and his team are critical to our team's success. The way they think and plan ahead, show up early and stay late, and push for the minutia because the small things really do matter, is terrific. I'm very grateful for the ways they've supported Rudd Resources and our clients, and look forward to collaborating again. (Here's a photo of our two teams.) "
