- Project Brief: Design a limited-edition packaging collection that celebrates Guatemala’s cultural heritage by transforming iconic destinations into collectible illustrated cans.
Beverage packaging works when the label turns a can into something you want to keep, not just drink. 7UP's Destinos Guatemala collection does that, treating each can as a window that fits in your palm and filling it with a bright illustrated scene of a local landmark.
The illustrations carry the whole idea. Tikal shows a backpacker looking up at the Mayan pyramid through the jungle, Lago Atitlán opens onto boats crossing volcano-ringed water, and El Paredón leans into surf culture with a boarder heading for the break.
The system is what makes it collectible. Each destination gets its own scene and palette while sharing the same layout and 7UP lockup up top, so the cans read as individuals but clearly belong to one set.
Color keeps it unmistakably 7UP. The brand green anchors every can, then each illustration opens into its own warmer or cooler scene tones, so the range stays refreshing and tied to place at once. For a heritage series built on real destinations, packaging this expressive is a smart pour.
