- Project Brief: Create print design for Subway’s “Get Your Own Way” campaign using a customizable visual system, bold photography, and playful messaging to celebrate personal choice and the brand’s made-to-order experience.
Food and beverage print connects fastest when the customer’s order becomes the message. Subway’s Get Your Own Way campaign by Saatchi & Saatchi UK turns real-sounding orders into headlines across its first standalone EMEA work.
Receipt-style posters set each request in monospaced type, with item, size, and quantity columns around a “Special Instructions” bar. One order asks for as much sweetcorn as staff can add without getting fired, and another wants enough garlic and herb sauce to take down a vampire.
The hero poster switches to full color, with a stacked white headline on Subway green and a customer eyeing his loaded sub. Its rounded green frame comes from a new design system built on the bains, the counter displays that hold every filling.
Dashed borders and a Subway Rewards QR code keep the receipt idea consistent from billboard to station poster. The arrow from the Subway logo also carries into the headline, so the brand mark and “Get Your Own Way” read as one.
