- Project Brief: Create a global campaign that positions DoorDash as the go-to delivery solution during the FIFA World Cup.
A commercial that understands its audience knows the World Cup does not just interrupt life, it replaces it. DoorDash leans into that fully with this food commercial, framing delivery not as a convenience but as the only rational response to four years of waiting.
GUT LA shoots the whole thing from the Dasher's perspective, moving through neighborhoods saturated in jersey colors and flag-draped windows. That point of view puts the delivery driver inside the tournament rather than outside it, which is where the brand needs to be.
The easter eggs do real work here. Kaká, Alex Morgan and Khaby Lame appear without buildup or fanfare, which rewards fans paying attention without alienating anyone who misses them.
The color palette ties the brand directly to the stadium: DoorDash red against Brazil yellow and tournament green keeps every frame feeling like match day. That's not an accident, and it's the visual decision that makes this feel like a World Cup film rather than an ad that happens to mention one.
