- Project Brief: Create a beverage video that integrates Stella Artois’ pouring ritual into a cinematic auction narrative inspired by The Gentlemen.
A beverage video ad often stops at a slow pour and a satisfied sip. Stella Artois and Netflix skip the pitch entirely, staging "The Auction" as a scene lifted straight from the show.
The spot borrows the show's whole grammar, matching its low-lit interiors, tailored menace, and slow-burn tension. Theo James returns as Eddie Horniman and David Beckham sits across the table, so the piece plays as an episode rather than an ad break.
The pour ritual carries the story, framing the nine-step Stella serve as a power move instead of bartending. Amber glass, gold rim, and a tight foam collar get the hero close-up while the auction paddle marks the stakes.
The craft is the whole pitch, with cinema lighting and editing that clear the usual commercial bar. The catch is entertainment swallowing the product, since a viewer can enjoy the scene as a Gentlemen extension and forget a beer was the lot on the block.
