- Project Brief: Create a high-energy brand film celebrating MLS's global momentum through cinematic storytelling, dynamic editing, and a star-studded cast led by Lionel Messi.
A brand video for a league has to sell a feeling bigger than any single match. "Thanks World, We'll Take It From Here" sells arrival, building MLS's new chapter around Messi standing alone on the pitch as the world's players answer his call.
The edit runs on rhythm. Rapid cuts sync to the "Can we kick it?" refrain from A Tribe Called Quest, so the call-and-response structure of the track becomes the structure of the film itself.
The cameo logic rewards attention without cluttering the frame. Son arrives by taxi, Durant and McConaughey trade lyrics at a magazine stand, and the visual strategy stays minimal so every gag lands inside a tight narrative.
The closing line is the design statement. Messi cues Beckham, the fireworks launch, and "Thanks world, we'll take it from here" reframes the league's story as a confident takeover built to be clipped and shared.
