- Project Brief: Design a website that delivers a dynamic fan experience through storytelling, performance-driven visuals, and intuitive navigation.
A sports website does its best work when the design reflects how the person actually moves through the world. Apart Collective's platform for Charles Leclerc achieves this by splitting the experience into two distinct modes: the driver and the man, each with its own visual logic and neither apologizing for the other.
Leclerc Sans, a bespoke condensed grotesk built specifically for the site, carries the speed of the racing context into the typography itself. Racetrack reds and clean whites keep the palette grounded, giving the layout enough discipline to hold both sides of Leclerc's identity without one overwhelming the other.
High-speed race navigation and a journal-like format for personal reflections share the same platform without forcing a tonal compromise. The transition between global competition and candid behind-the-scenes moments is fluid enough that fans move between them without feeling like they've changed channels.
The platform positions Leclerc as something F1 rarely makes room for: a competitor with an interior life worth following. Apart Collective built the infrastructure for that story, and the design makes it credible.
