- Project Brief: Design a portfolio website that showcases visual storytelling, artistic experimentation, and immersive digital craftsmanship through a minimalist interactive experience.
A portfolio website lands differently when it stops behaving like one. Luke Drummond-Dupuis' site opens on a muscular torso with a CRT monitor for a head, breakdancing before a visitor has clicked a single thing.
The interface strips navigation down to two links: Home and About. A clean white base throws the CRT into sharp relief, and blood-red handwritten type cuts through the editorial lettering like marginalia from someone who couldn't help themselves.
Minimal assets keep the page loading fast, so the breakdancing figure lands immediately rather than buffering into existence. The "Click to Enter" prompt responds with enough tactility that pressing it feels like opening something physical rather than following a link.
What's beyond the entry screen stays deliberately out of sight until earned. Drummond-Dupuis works across branding, visual identity, 3D/VFX, videography and photography, and the sparse navigation trusts the work to do the rest once a visitor steps through.
