- Project Brief: Create a website that showcases cultural intelligence services, creative initiatives, and technology-driven storytelling.
A digital agency site should perform its own pitch, and The Future in Black does that from the first scroll. The studio sells cultural intelligence and Afro-Surrealist storytelling, so the homepage behaves like a curated exhibition rather than a service list.
The UI leans on bold display type and wide, open layouts, which lets a few words carry real weight against the imagery. That restraint is the creative bet: the design reads as expressive and minimal at once, and the Afro-Surrealist art gives it a voice most agency sites never attempt.
Navigation stays clear underneath the art direction. The "Nine Practices" and "For You" groupings sort offerings for brands, institutions, teams, and creatives, while direct calls to action like begin a partnership, book a workshop and commission a work sit where visitors expect them.
Motion and performance do the quiet work. Sections unfold like chapters through scroll-based storytelling, transitions stay smooth, and the art-heavy pages load progressively so the experience holds up across devices instead of stalling.
