Just had the MOST unfriendly and rude call back from Norman Blatner. I called this office earlier today explaining that I was looking to hire a CPA to help me with NYS tax questions.I received a call back from Norman Blatner well after 5pm. He seemed to have misunderstood what exactly I needed help with and very rudely told me that he would not be able to help me and he was "just calling as a courtesy to let me know to remove his contact info from my list of people who could help me". When I tried to explain what it was that I actually needed he kept cutting me off and re-stating that he was just calling to tell me that he couldn't help me. He spoke very fast and wouldn't let me get a word in edgewise. His tone was rude and dismissive. He definitely is not anyone I would want to do business with. I don't know if he treats everyone like trash or if I was just the unfortunate victim of him today. I do not recommend anyone reach out to this guy for your CPA needs. Do better Blatner & Mineo CPA PC!!!!!

Penny over charged me for my service. I spoke with a lot of my peers and they were absolutely shocked with the price a paid. I have a small solo cleaning business & I caregiver (on the books w/ a company so a W2). She charged me $250 with a “discount” I emailed her a week later bc I needed to add a few checks I found and she said it would be $100 to go back and edit my taxes. This was not fair at all.

Found a highly misleading advertisement for promising to sell NOLs and R&D credits "up to 95% of the value" when what they were really trying to do was lead gen for doing R&D work (because the former isn't really possible). Update June 2023: Steph has done my biz, personal, and trust taxes for years now. I don’t trust anyone else. She is phenomenal with her customer service, fair pricing, and attention to detail. I did stray one year and went to someone else who did not do a good job and charged me double the price. That I regret and back with Taxes Tampa now!
