Having worked with Task Experts for a few months now, I've been really impressed with their proactive nature, communication and attitude towards doing the work right first time. Had a terrible experience with Gheen & Co. They managed our books and taxes for a few years. From the beginning the communication was spotty, they never answer the phone and get back to emails at a snails pace. On top of that they missed $40,000 in taxes we owed and never alerted us it was due. We had to hire a third party book keeper and it took them months to fix the mess they made in our quickbooks. After canceling with them they sent us a bill for our 2023 tax filing with was completed looong time ago.

I don't know if communication was lost or never sent, but multiple requirements of us were never received - including the cutoff date for submitting our information - which caused us to miss filing on time and requiring an extension. When asked, we were told that information was provided, but I could not (and still can not) find that information anywhere. We didn't realize we were after the cutoff date until we reached out to ask about the status. After learning that we needed an extension, multiple dates were given for when our taxes would be filed. When dates were missed, we again had to reach out for clarification and a new timeline.
