I am Nate Mueller, From Minneapolis MN. I am the Director of product design and user research. What I love most about Turing and remote work is the short commute to my office (downstairs) and the ability to spend more time with my family. Non-remote jobs in my area are becoming more limited, and there are limited tech companies in my area. My advice to a job-seeker who wants to work with Turing is to think about what makes you happy at work. I took the job at Turing because of the company's mission to democratize opportunity in the tech industry. I was excited to join a fast-moving company that was ambitious in its goals, and during my interview process, I was super impressed with how smart and kind everyone was.

Hey, I’m Max from Brazil. I’m a Software engineer working at Turing for 5 months now. I love the flexibility of remote work. I love that we can change our job schedule accordingly to my necessities. I can always prepare my food and eat homemade meals that improve my health and fortifies the connections between my family, my community, and myself. These little improvements sum into work efficiency, I feel more productive and more focused on my tasks. When I was working on a non-remote job, I needed to commute to the office and spend hours in traffic. Also, I felt distant from my family and friends. I was locked into my geographical options. Now, I don't need to be bound to local jobs, I can work from every part of the world to a company in any part of the world. This lack of boundaries inspires me. Improve your communications skills. You are probably already technically qualified enough for most of the jobs, but in a remote-first working environment, communication is essential for you to be an active and productive employee. Improve your pronunciation, vocabulary, expressiveness, and be eloquent, and you'll succeed.

I often used to spend hours commuting to work and home. One of the best things about remote work is the lack of commuting. Now I get a lot of free time to do something that I love outside of work. Working remotely has helped me create a much better work-life balance which eventually also helps me be more productive at work. Turing is a great place to work with an equally great team of professionals from around the globe. So, when you consider working at Turing prepare yourself to meet people belonging from different countries and cultures.

Had such great care here, all of the nurses were kind and friendly, I completely felt safe and listened to by the anesthesiologist and Dr Roost was excellent at explaining my procedure and clearly passionate and skilled in her field. Clearly no none wants to have a colonoscopy but their staff made it as easy and smooth as possible!

I was pleased with the services I received in the Waverley surgery center for my much procrastinated colonoscopy. Everyone was friendly, caring and attentive which made me feel comfortable and relaxed. I am deeply disappointed with my experience with Single Point of Contact (SPOC). Despite being awarded in unpaid wages by the California Labor Commissioner, SPOC and its leadership have failed to take any responsibility or make good on the judgment.In an effort to resolve the matter amicably and avoid further legal complications, I offered a settlement for just nearly 75% less than what I was legally owed. I was genuinely hoping for a fair resolution and gave every opportunity for SPOC to make things right.Unfortunately, even this generous offer was ignored. Their refusal to own up to their obligations reflects a serious lack of accountability and professionalism. Employees and contractors should be aware of how this company handles financial and legal responsibilities.If you're considering working with or for SPOC, I strongly encourage you to exercise caution and do your due diligence
