As an accounting firm I would give them 1 star. I recently discovered a litany of deductions they failed to consider. You will be given an EA, which is just a glorified tax preparer. They will know nothing and be slow to reply. You might as well get your taxes done by H&R block or a proper independent CPA. If these folks do your taxes, get prepared for a larger tax bill. I strongly advise against it.

I switched to Acrisure when my old broker didn’t carry the insurance I needed after buying a new home. That previous broker was fantastic, they felt like my team. But from day one with Acrisure, I felt like a burden, or resented. When I switched insurance companies to Allstate (which doesn’t use 3rd party brokers), I contacted Acrisure to inform them and complete paperwork ensuring a smooth transition. Acrisure failed to cancel with my prior insurance company (AAA) after I sent a cancellation request alongside my declarations page showing proof of new insurance. This meant my homeowner’s insurance was double paid — my mortgage company paid AAA out of escrow and I had to pay Allstate out of pocket to avoid cancellation — and while I was ultimately reimbursed by AAA, it cost me time and energy, not to mention an unpleasant surprise. Acrisure asked me to send them proof of new insurance again—that the absence of that is why this mistake happened. Okay — maybe I forgot. I sent the proof. Then found the email from several months prior where I’d sent that same proof of insurance, and a request for cancellation, while on the phone with the agent.Now, after 20 years with perfect credit,I’m finding AAA has reported me delinquent on some aspect of my insurance policy with them, despite the fact that car insurance was on auto pay and home insurance was coming out of escrow. What is the point of having a third party broker agent if they not only don’t help — my agent was seriously unhelpful from day one — but actually cause more problems that cost time and money. I would strongly *not* recommend working with Acrisure, at least not out of Michigan offices. They lack training and culture on how to provide customer service, and don’t follow through.If you live in SE MI, the Korotkin team are great brokers and agents. And if you can’t work with them, Allstate has been fantastic and proactive and very helpful in resolving issues caused by the Acrisure issues.

The process was quick. A week after entering the basic info on the site, got a 15 minutes call from an agent to get the details and received the quote within the same day. Although the non-admitted carrier has a higher deductible, I’m happy that the agent saved $600 on my home insurance.
