With over 5 million users all over Europe, PhotoSì is the number 1 mobile app in Italy for printing photos, photobooks, and other photographic products, and one of the top choices among users in other European countries. Like many market leaders, we faced a well-known challenge when thinking to scale effectively beyond the duopoly, Google and Facebook. Looking for ways to reinforce even further our branding in Italy and strengthen our positioning in Europe, we approached REPLUG with precise challenges: 1. What acquisition channels should they use to reach their existing audience beyond what the duopoly offered? 2. How could we keep the cost of acquisitions under control without eroding the bottom line? 3. How long would it take for us to effectively scale those new channels? 4. Was there a hidden opportunity in promoting our services to a whole new target audience? After conducting an audit of our current activities, REPLUG presented us with solutions that focused on: CONTENT INFLUENCERS STRATEGY: Identifying TikTok as a potential game-changer, REPLUG's marketing team curated a list of content creators to generate user-generated content. This content was then promoted both from PhotoSì and the influencers' accounts (Spark Ads) CREATIVES & COMMUNICATION A/B TESTING: Their Paid Performance Marketing team created and tested various video content formats iteratively. These tests included combinations of voice-overs, text, CTAs, and music, all aimed at optimizing the Cost-per-Acquisition. SCALING BUDGET WITHOUT INCREASING THE CPA: REPLUG's approach to paid performance marketing involved continuous refinement of targeting, audiences, creative assets, and content. This allowed us to scale the budget spent to six figures a month on TikTok while maintaining a consistent CPA.
