My first experience with 4Design was working with Lee and Robbie on the Solarscan Melanoma Detection system for Polartechnics in the early 2000s. They converted a really bulky and frankly awfully designed prototype system into a sleek device suitable for manufacture and use in a Doctor's office. When I took over responsibility for product development and design at Emotiv I worked closely with Lee to spin our EPOC EEG wireless gaming headset into a fantastic, affordable user-friendly product which, after several model upgrades, continues to dominate the worldwide consumer and scientific EEG markets worldwide. 4Design have been a critical part of our success and were instrumental in bringing our full range of products to market, including Emotiv Insight (5-channel wireless pro-sumer EEG), Emotiv Flex (32-channel wireless research EEG) and MN8, integrating ear canal EEG measurement with wireless Bluetooth headphones. 4Design's attention to detail, focus on manufacturability, and willingness to work with us to evolve our designs has been an important part of our journey to deliver affordable wireless EEG systems worldwide, enabling researchers anywhere to access research-quality EEG devices for 10-100x less cost, 50x less set-up time and the ability for untrained end users to self-fit the devices and obtain high quality signals in the most challenging environments. The ongoing parking issue caused by employees from businesses at The Capricorn Centre is getting out of control and is severely affecting residents in our private residential estate. Workers from multiple businesses are regularly parking in our estate, making it difficult for residents to park near their own homes. Our roads are already narrow, and now, due to double parking, it is becoming even more restricted, creating major problems. Serious issues include: - Blocked footpaths, forcing pedestrians, wheelchair users, and parents with prams onto the road. - Obstructed access for emergency vehicles, putting lives at risk. - Disruptions on bin collection days, as refuse trucks struggle to get through. This week, a particularly dangerous incident occurred—a lady with a pram was forced onto the road due to blocked pavements, and a speeding vehicle almost hit her. This is completely unacceptable and could have ended in a serious accident. Businesses at The Capricorn Centre must take responsibility and stop their employees from using our residential streets as a car park. There are alternative parking options available, and this level of disregard for a residential community is simply not acceptable. Until action is taken, I strongly discourage any business from operating in a way that disrupts and endangers local residents.
