For a new business owner, issues of business plans, financing, and product timelines were a lot to juggle. Branding is way outside my expertise. I had been mulling over the name for my yet-to-be-created publishing company for a few months. When I finally narrowed down the options, I knew what I had to do next - give Gavin a call and get his expert advice. Gavin listened very carefully. He provided insightful advice and helped me work through the rationale for selecting the brand name. In the end, it was none of the options on my list, but a variation of one. It is a clever connection of books to trees, and the tree that I had much fascination with, the famous Torrey Pine tree in La Jolla CA - the town in which the idea was born. I was so happy with it: Storrey Pine LLC. Shortly after my call, I completed a brand brief for the logo design. The brief was very simple to complete and allowed me to provide my preferences for the logo, including pictures of the true Torrey pine cones. A few weeks later, I had a slide deck in hand with nine logo options, each with its own name for easy reference, created by Bhupesh, a very talented designer. They were all strikingly beautiful - each had captured the natural beauty and majesty of the Torrey pine cone. I had a call with Gavin, who walked me through each of the images and helped me understand the design considerations - balance, symmetry, typography, and the ability for the logo to display well in black and white. I selected 2 designs from the deck for further development, along with a request for some modifications. Bhupesh did some experiments on the designs and provided a rationale for what would and would not work. The logo which I finally selected for development is called "Coniferous" and uses the print-block technique, where the pine cone and the nib are traditional while the print is modern. Next, Bhupesh very thoughtfully put together a “creative explorations” slide deck with some mockups of the logo applied to a business card, letterhead, books, and a tote bag to give me a sense of how my logo would look in real world settings. Finally, I received my brand identity kit with high-resolution images of the logo for print and business cards, as well as images for social media.Gavin and Bhupesh delivered a very high-quality product with creativity, professionalism, and thoughtful attention to detail. They are masters of their space and their art. I am delighted with the brand name and logo for my company.

I’m not great with cameras or any of this stuff but they explained everything and were super straight forward to work with. They showed up, got the shots, and didn’t waste any time. The video came out awesome, looks clean and shows off what we do. Got a couple new customers already. These guys know what they’re doin.

I hired 5Gear Studios for a corporate event we hosted in June. From the very beginning, they were great to work with. Darren took the time to meet with me and discuss in detail what we wanted. The booking process was smooth and their staff are responsive and easy to work with.Come the day of the event, the staff were prompt and friendly. They do a great job of catching moments without being in the way or being obnoxious. Unfortunately we did have a snag, it was one of the hottest days of the year and our venue lost power so we were evacuated from the building -- the filming team followed us to a second location and continued to film, rolling with the punches without hesitation. They were amazing to work with.I have only seen a draft of our sizzle reel so far but I am impressed with the turn around time and the quality of the reel.Overall, I highly recommend 5Gear for any videography needs.

I've been working with the 5 gear team for almost a decade now. They are my go to video production company no matter the scale. I've hired them for single videographers covering events, commercials, green screen capture and motion design, video editing and all the way up to large scale livestream shows with clients such as Samsung. Jacob was a such a good choice for our family photos. We have a 1.5 year old and, well that isn’t always the easiest to work with! Jacob was patient and just all around fantastic throughout the whole hour; not one did he make us feel rushed and he even “meowed” along with us as we tried to get our toddler to look at the camera. 😆 the pictures came a couple weeks later and we were not disappointed, getting so many shots in both color and black and white. We will certainly be using him again!

We were looking for a company to do a promo video for our band, and after looking at five or six different options, we choose 47 Filmworks. Used Studio Lumen for a series of headshots. They set up in our office and did a great job. Their team was interacting with staff at a variety of levels including executives. They were able to keep things moving efficiently and I genuinely think the team had fun going through the process. The photos themselves are excellent and captured a fresh look. I find the corporate headshot look can get stale and a bit cliche. Appreciate their creativity and quality of work. From a personal perspective I highly recommend.

I had an excellent experience getting headshots done in-studio! The email communication every step of the way was clear and helpful, and the proof selection site was super easy to use. On the shoot day Jean-Marc was very personable and engaging which made it easy to get good natural expressions. He was also very efficient as I had 4 different shirt/uniform variations I wanted to try, and he also tried a different lighting setup at the end which resulted in one of my favorite photos from the day.
