  • Project Brief: Create a logo and visual identity for CÖTB that reinterprets German brewing heritage through a geometric monogram, precise typography, and minimalist design, supported by tactile packaging finishes and premium materials.

A beverage logo can carry centuries of brewing tradition without leaning on old crests or rustic emblems. Harryson Ramirez designed CÖTB, a contemporary German craft beer concept guided by the Reinheitsgebot purity law, around a single geometric monogram.

A wide open C wraps around a solid ring O, while a wave-shaped swash stands in for the umlaut and links to a slim I and a tall B. Those round masses and empty counters echo fermentation tanks and dividing cells, so the mark nods to the brewing process itself.

The primary version splits into deep forest green for the C, O, and I and warm copper for the swash and B. On the bottle label, the monogram sits as a blind deboss in uncoated cotton paper with hot copper foil that catches the light.

The same mark holds up in very different finishes, from spot-gloss UV on a matte black can to a frosted etch on a tulip tasting glass. A slim neck strip repeats the name in small caps, so the identity stays consistent from cap to glass.
