At the core of the design is a clever mark: a stylized skull that doubles as a speech bubble and the letter “P.” It’s equal parts spooky, smart, and social.
This is exactly what host Rob Watts envisioned when he launched Pintside Chat as a community for honest, trend-chasing conversations.
Supporting elements like crossbones made from clinking pint glasses and typographic quirks reinforce the brand’s gritty but approachable tone.
The typography is a standout on its own: hand-cut, jagged, and full of character.
HRZN opted for a deliberately off-kilter aesthetic, grounding the identity in the lo-fi spirit of zines and indie gigs. That, while still keeping things versatile with primary, stacked, and favicon-ready logo variations.
