- Project Brief: Design retail packaging that celebrates Rhodian ceramic heritage through minimalist layouts, handcrafted-inspired graphics, and a visual identity centered on the tradition of offering.
Retail packaging often prioritizes the physical product. Filema Rodion flips this expectation, structuring the carton to function as a traditional cultural offering instead of a mere container.
The visual identity anchors itself in Aegean history. Integrating Rhodian plates as the core graphic element, the print artwork mimics cracked glaze and classic blue lettering to forge a direct link with Mediterranean heritage.
Luminous Design engineered stark white packaging surfaces. This generous negative space establishes a strict visual hierarchy, pulling immediate focus toward the central plate motif and the actual sweet displayed on the front panel.
The structural layout holds hidden interactive details. Inner layers expose a striking blue mosaic pattern that contrasts sharply against the pristine exterior, while the back panel cleverly replicates the reverse side of a traditional dish to house nutritional facts.
