Used them for years , horrible cust support. When I finnaly got rid of them at the end of 2024, i also had workers comp. They never stopped charging my co. for workers comp. I called again and found out they lied and have no record of that request. but the Payroll side was canceled. How is that even possible. called again. finally they stopped deducting for workers comp. I demanded a refund , they said ok. So what they did was do an audit for 2023, and 2034 for no reason. instead of just refunding me for 5 months of charges. They billed me for audits .2023 charges for an unnecessary audit where 1181.37 , for 2024 charges were 1670.20. are you kidding me. this has to be illegal. what in the heck is going on. 28581.57 for unnecessary audits. stay very far away form this Company !!!! This is why people hate insurance company's. Such underhanded practices. My Lord...

The customer service from this company is absolutely horrible and frustrating. Every time I request information, I receive inconsistent answers, and they often seem to misunderstand my inquiries. It takes countless emails just to get my point across. EDIT 1: And now they're claiming my refusal to be interrupted and talked over on the phone was "abuse." Or was it my reaction when instead of replying to my email, you sent your reply to my husband's email, when I was clearly the only sender on that email? You must be beset on all sides daily!I received no mention of any attempt to cure this situation. Not any. Please resend me the alleged attempts.And thank you so much for divulging specifics about my case on a public forum. I will definitely add this breach of confidentiality to my complaints with the BBB and Colorado State Board.Attempting to play victim instead of taking responsibility for your actions will get you nowhere.DO NOT hire this company unless you have about $10K to flush down the toilet.I first contacted this company in the Spring of 2025, and my final payment (after the $1750 down payment) of $7k was cleared in early May.As of today, August 5, there has been NO WORK done on my case. I found out today after hounding them again that one of the people assigned to my case went on maternity leave, and the company did not see fit to inform me of this at all.I am currently in the process of requesting a full refund, and I'm hoping their complete ineptitude and disregard for their clients does not extend to their refund department.Don't worry, I will definitely keep you posted.

I have been working with Lanphier Accounting for 3 years now for my private practice therapy business and I am VERY pleased. I used to live in Colorado and seeing them in person was lovely but I have moved states (but still maintain my therapy license in Colorado) so now we do everything via video conference and I must say there have been zero issues with the transition. Had a terrible experience with Gheen & Co. They managed our books and taxes for a few years. From the beginning the communication was spotty, they never answer the phone and get back to emails at a snails pace. On top of that they missed $40,000 in taxes we owed and never alerted us it was due. We had to hire a third party book keeper and it took them months to fix the mess they made in our quickbooks. After canceling with them they sent us a bill for our 2023 tax filing with was completed looong time ago.
