Our directory features top ERP companies across 17 US states and has been thoroughly evaluated by our 12 executive experts using our five-step ranking criteria. As such, you can efficiently find a credible ERP partner for your needs.
Organic rankings are determined by five factors: top services, reviews, portfolio, awards/press, and team expertise. Sponsored listings pay for a placement that appears above organic positions. Sponsorship does not affect star ratings or review content - read more on our methodology page.

Iron Forge Development Reviews & Testimonials
AI Application Development Review from Jonathan Smucker
IronForge has made my vision for a financial research software a reality. They are pragmatic, diligent partners, who spend the time it takes to understand what I want to see and why. I could not have built such an incredibly powerful and elegant tool without them. I strongly recommend them to anyone looking for a technology partner.
Mobile App Development Review from Nathan Vanderlaan
Iron Forge has been an outstanding partner in developing and maintaining the Trend (by soona) mobile app. Their team delivers above senior level engineering quality with the consistency and speed that makes them feel like a true extension of our own team. Their membership model has given us predictable costs while outperforming what I could do if I hired an in-house mobile team. From architecture to feature releases to ongoing maintenance, they are proactive, responsive, and always on time. Iron Forge is a trusted partner that I would recommend to any company looking for a world class mobile development team.
Healthcare Review from Andrew Guillemette
From day one, Iron Forge made the software development process clear for us at Enceinte Health. As a startup, its easy to get overwhelmed by unclear scopes, shifting priorities, ballooning budgets, and the risk of building too much too soon. Iron Forge removed that chaos by showing us exactly what we were building, how it would work, and what it would cost before a single line of code was written. That clarity gave our team the confidence to focus on growing the business while trusting the development process was fully under control. What stood out most was how much they educated and guided our team through every step. Their discovery phase didn't just gather requirements; it gave our stakeholders a full understanding of how the product would come together, why each piece mattered, and how to avoid common startup pitfalls. With UX mockups, detailed roadmaps, and clearly defined milestones, they kept everyone from our team to our investors aligned, informed, and free of surprises. Most importantly, Iron Forge acted like a true partner, not just a vendor. They helped us make smarter decisions, stay focused on priorities, and keep our budget and timeline predictable. Working with them felt like having a world-class product team embedded within our company, guiding us every step of the way.We highly recommend Iron Forge to any startup or growing company looking for a development partner that brings clarity, discipline, and deep expertise. They dont just build software they help you build it the right way.

Hiring Guide: How to Choose Leading ERP Consulting Services in the US
What can the top ERP companies in the US do for businesses?
A top ERP provider in the US centralizes data sources and streamlines processes to empower data-driven decisions.
Specifically, they provide guidance on selecting the best ERP vendor, such as Oracle NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, and Microsoft Dynamics 365, based on the business’s structure, goals, and IT environment.
They also help diagnose current ERP systems and offer strategic roadmaps on how to resolve these issues.
Beyond advisory services, many of the best ERP consultants offer ERP system design, customization, implementation, testing, and management.
In helping businesses optimize their ERP systems, 95% report better customer experience, 90% say they reduced IT maintenance costs, and 90% increased internal productivity and efficiency.
Other benefits that organizations experience include gaining real-time data (86%), achieving regulatory compliance (83%), eliminating data silos (80%), and lowering operational costs (63%).
What kind of budgets do companies typically allocate in this industry?
Industry research reports that businesses with under $1 billion in revenue allocate 3-5% of their annual income to ERP consulting services and development. On the other hand, organizations that make over $1 billion invest 2-3% of their annual revenue due to economies of scale.
Of this percentage, businesses dedicate 10-25% to software licensing fees, 30-40% to consulting and implementation services, and 10-20% to staff training and change management.
Ongoing system maintenance and support can cost an additional 18-22% of the initial costs.
In more concrete terms, the cost of best ERP consulting firms can look like the following:
- Small businesses
- Monthly software costs: $1,700-$4,500
- Total implementation: $25,000-$150,000
- Cost per user: $7,000 on average
- Mid-sized companies
- Monthly software costs: $4,500-$6,000
- Total implementation: $150,000-$750,000
- Cost per user: $8,500 on average
- Larger organizations
- Monthly software costs: $6,000-$9,000
- Total implementation: $500,000-$2 million
- Cost per user: $7,000-$8,500 on average
- Enterprises
- Monthly software costs: Over $9,3000
- Total implementation: Over $1 million
How long does it take for a top ERP company to complete a project?
Depending on the complexity of the IT infrastructure, business processes, data migration, and project requirements, ERP projects can take anywhere between 3 months and over 18 months.
On average, you can expect discovery and planning to take 1-2 weeks and system design to take 4-6 weeks.
Development and testing may require anywhere between 1-5 months, as this stage often involves data migration and cleansing, process reengineering, and system integrations.
Deployment, user training, and change management can last between 4 and 6 weeks.
Lastly, post-implementation support will depend on your service level agreement with the ERP consulting firm. However, many offer a 2–4-week post-launch maintenance service to ensure that the entire system runs smoothly in live environments.
How to choose the best ERP consultant for your business?
To choose the best ERP consultant for your business, assess the company’s expertise in your industry, technical requirements, and business structure. Here are some steps to guide you:
- Clarify your needs
Coordinate with your internal team to define your business goals, success metrics, ERP features, technical requirements, budget, and timeline. - Search for proven experience
Identify consultants with case studies in your industry, IT infrastructure, and business structure and size, as they can provide sector-specific expertise. - Evaluate their credentials
Analyze client reviews on third-party platforms, vendor partnerships, and implementation track record to determine their reliability and credibility. - Issue a request for proposal (RFP)
Provide a business and system overview together with your scope and evaluation method in your RFP, so the consultant can better align with you on the project details. - Schedule an interview
Set up an introductory meeting with your shortlisted candidates to learn more about their selection process, implementation methodology, and post-launch support. - Choose your partner
Select a partner that balances business strategy with technology, prioritizes scalability and security, and culturally aligns with your team.

ERP Consulting Services FAQs
What services do ERP consulting companies in the US provide?
The top ERP consulting firms in the US provide comprehensive services that help businesses select, implement, and optimize their ERP investment.
According to Panorama’s latest ERP Report, organizations most frequently hire top ERP companies for the following services:
- Technology assessment (55%): Analyzing business processes, data landscapes, and IT infrastructure to identify areas that can be improved with ERP.
- ERP implementation (54%): Executing project plans, data migration, quality assurance (QA) testing, change management, and system deployment.
- Business process management (44%): Reengineering and automating workflows and aligning operations with ERP best practices.

What are the typical timelines for these projects across complexity levels?
Typically, ERP consulting projects can take anywhere between a few months and years to complete, depending on your business's IT environment and the consultant’s expertise.

- Large companies with multiple modules and requiring significant customizations will need around 9-18 months to complete.
- Global enterprises require 12-36 months due to phased rollouts, localization, complex data harmonization, compliance requirements, and substantial change management.
When can clients expect ROI from project implementation?
Industry research shows that 83% of businesses experience a return on investment (ROI) after 1 year of ERP implementation. However, the timeline will depend on user adoption, process redesign, and ERP system complexity.
Below is an average ROI timeline:
- Small businesses with out-of-the-box ERP systems and minimal integrations may see an ROI within 6-12 months.
- Medium-sized companies with several system integrations and more complex processes may record an ROI within 1-5 years.
- Enterprises and multi-location organizations may take 5-10 years, as they often implement ERP in phases.
How do leading US ERP consulting firms ensure implementation success?
About 70% of ERP implementation initiatives fail due to business process and goal misalignment.
To circumvent this, these agencies conduct the following:
- Extensive discovery and analysis process to specify objectives, processes, data quality, and technical infrastructure.
- Strong stakeholder involvement and alignment to confirm buy-in, clarify priorities, and align the ERP solution with business objectives.
- Robust project management, including using proven methodologies, establishing clear key performance indicators (KPIs), and proactive risk mitigation to maintain project budget and schedule.
- Rigorous testing, including usability, functionality, and stress testing, to ensure the system works within the business’s real-life environment
- Change management and user training to ensure that the entire organization understands the value of the new system and has the skills to use it
- Data strategy and migration planning to enhance data accuracy and integrity, implement data governance practices, and improve reporting quality.
- Post-go-live support to maintain the ERP system’s scalability, security, and reliability.
