1. Gordon Desserts’ Rebrand to Mochidoki Led to an Award-Winning Verbal Identity
Source: [Catchword]
Challenge: Gordon Desserts, a premium food company, introduced a new line of premium mochi desserts. It needed help in rebranding its name to something that captures the playful and indulgent nature of the product, while also hinting at its Asian heritage.
Solution: Catchword developed the name “Mochidoki,” a combination of “mochi” and “okay-dokey.” The naming agency ensured that the name has brand recall and gives off positive association to the product, as well as to speak much about its Asian heritage.
Results: The dessert company’s rebranding to Mochidoki resulted in business growth, with its product line being served at high-end restaurants, such as Nobu, Tao, and Wynn Resorts. It has also opened its first retail location, demonstrating the strength of the brand and the impact of the naming strategy, which also won a Sliver Award for Verbal Identity at London Internation Awards.
2. Rotten Tomatoes’ Popcornmeter Redefined Audience Media Scoring
Source: [Catchword]
Challenge: Rotten Tomatoes, a popular film and television review site, needed a partner to create a more engaging name for its Audience Score. It needed fresh perspectives in ideating a handle that would reflect the overall enthusiasm of everyday viewers and connect with its professional critic scale, “Tomatometer.”
Solution: A few hundred word pairings later, Catchword proposed the name “Popcornmeter,” directly connecting to the audience experience of watching movies and its tag-along snack, popcorn. The name also aligns seamlessly and intuitively with the existing Tomatometer, which made marketing unnecessary.
Results: The “Popcornmeter” branding successfully launched in August 2024, receiving positive media coverage. It has also inspired the introduction of a new verified ratings system, spanning from Hot to Stale, which further enhanced the user experience of Rotten Tomatoes.
3.TikTok’s ‘In the Mix’ Set the Trend as a Well-Recognized Cultural Experience
Source: [Catchword]
Challenge: TikTok aimed to create a first-of-its-kind music event through its platform’s Live feature. It needed a name that would be memorable, easy to understand, and align with TikTok’s DNA of creativity and innovation.
Solution: Having produced previous TikTok handles before, Catchword is already familiar with what works with the channel’s varied audience. After 2,000 generated event titles, the naming agency proposed “In the Mix,” conveying the idea of a live, dynamic music experience, where different artists and genres come together. It also ensured that the name resonates with the concept of being part of a community while positioning TikTok as a top discovery platform for emerging music.
Results: The first “TikTok In the Mix” event was announced in October 2023, featuring a star-studded lineup and global live streaming. The event received significant media attention and positive feedback from fans, successfully launching a new chapter for TikTok’s real-world music experiences.
4. The North Face’s ‘Circaloft’ Branded as Sustainable Puffer Jacket of the Year
Source: [Catchword]
Challenge: The North Face developed a new line of sustainable, high-performance insulated apparel. It wanted a naming agency partner that could name the clothing line while properly communicating the product’s unique properties, sustainability, and innovation.
Solution: Catchword proposed the name “Circaloft.” It combines “circa,” referencing the circular economy and the product’s lifecycle, with “loft,” suggesting lightweight insulation, garments that float back into shape after compression, and aspiration toward a more sustainable future.
Results: The North Face received positive reviews from consumers and the media, with Travel and Leisure naming Circaloft as the Best Sustainable Puffer Jacket of the year. The name effectively conveyed the product’s unique qualities and aligned with The North Face's commitment to sustainability.

1. Contact the agency to schedule a meeting
Reach out to Catchword to book an initial consultation. Take this as an opportunity to get to know its team and discuss your business goals and expectations.
2. Prepare key questions to ask during the meeting
To ensure that Catchword is the best fit for your business, consider asking the following in-depth questions:
Name development and ideation
What is your approach to naming development?
Why ask this? Knowing the internal workflow of a naming agency emphasizes whether it aligns with yours.
Industry experience and creativity
Can you share examples of successful naming projects you've completed?
Why ask this? Successful case studies demonstrate the agency’s capabilities and the quality of their work. Look for examples relevant to your industry or target audience.
Brand strategy and positioning
How do you handle naming projects with multiple target audiences or geographic regions?
Why ask this? If your brand operates across diverse markets, it’s important to consider that the naming agency has the linguistic expertise to ideate a name that is catchy, understandable, and has strong brand recall across your differing target markets.
Legal and trademark expertise
How do you conduct trademark searches to ensure the name is legally available?
Why ask this? A reputable agency will conduct thorough trademark searches and provide legal advice to ensure your brand name is future-proofed.
Feedback and revision process
How do you handle feedback and revisions?
Why ask this? An agency should be receptive to feedback and willing to adjust as needed to ensure that the ideated name will reach the right audience.
Client collaboration and project management
How do you involve clients in the naming process?
Why ask this? The naming process should be a two-way process. Look into how Catchword’s collaboration practices consider your inputs to ensure the final name reflects your brand vision and goals.

Clea Bierman
Director of Digital Marketing at Blue Meridan Partners
5.0★
WordPress Website Design Review from Clea Bierman
Blue Meridian Partners has worked with Constructive as our website design and development partner for more than eight years. During that time, they have played a significant role in shaping our digital presence and helping bring our brand to life online. What I've appreciated most is Constructive's ability to balance creativity with stewardship. They have consistently found thoughtful ways to push our brand forward when innovation was needed, while also respecting and working intelligently within established brand guidelines. Their team understands how to translate complex ideas into engaging digital experiences. Across dozens of projects, I've worked with three different project managers, and each has been highly accountable and genuinely enjoyable to partner with. The relationships have been professional, collaborative, and built on trust. We've also had several occasions where creative projects required significant work on very tight timelines with little notice, and Constructive consistently found a way to deliver. Like any long-term partnership, navigating complex websites and evolving organizational needs requires ongoing communication and attention. What has kept us coming back year after year is Constructive's commitment to partnership, their willingness to solve problems alongside us, and the care they bring to our mission. I am grateful for their contributions to Blue Meridian's growth and would confidently recommend Constructive to organizations looking for a thoughtful, mission-driven digital agency.
Robert Espinoza
Former EVP of Policy at PHI
5.0★
Nonprofits Review from Robert Espinoza
Constructive built PHIs website back in 2017-2018 and, in many ways, they have been with the organization ever since. Over almost eight years, they've grown alongside PHI rather than simply maintaining a site. PHI is a national nonprofit working at the intersection of research, policy, and workforce interventions on the direct care workforce, and a lot of what we do is complicated. Constructive's remarkable team has had a real knack for turning that complexity into something clear, usable, and genuinely engaging online.
Some of the things I'm most proud of from our partnership like our worker story gallery, our national resource center on direct care workers, and our online index came out of that collaboration. These weren't just features; they became core parts of how we tell our story and share our work with advocates, policymakers, and practitioners.
What made Constructive stand out was how invested they were in our mission. They were creative and technically excellent, yes but more than that, they showed up as a true partner. We didn't experience them as a vendor so much as an extension of our team. I would absolutely recommend them to any nonprofit or social impact organization looking for a thoughtful, dependable digital partner.
Diana Denza, MPA
Communications Director at Center for Family Representation
5.0★
Nonprofits Review from Diana Denza, MPA
The Center for Family Representation worked with Constructive on a year-long rebranding process that overhauled our logo, colors, website, and all of our marketing collateral. As a result of this process, we now have a brand that truly represents our organization and the work we do for low-income NYC families. Constructive was highly responsive and professional throughout the process, working with us to ensure that every element of the rebranding felt just right.

The Colored Girls Museum's Review Sourced from Google
The Colored Girls Museum has now worked with Creative Repute Design Agency on several high visibility projects . Including Custom Wallpaper designed by Nile Livingston which took center stage at Philadelphia Airport backing our installation (Sit A Spell ) which was on view for nine months. The inspiration for the wallpaper came from Niles postcard design for our show The One Room Schoolhouse . We loved the design so much we created other merch around it . At present the wallpaper can be seen at The Colored Girls Museum in the Colored Boys Room. Most recently Creative Repute turned around the poster appearing soon at Mother Bethel which is the kick off location for The Tribute to The 7th Ward Legacy Reclaimed . Walking Tour . Always a pleasure to work with Nile and her team . Excellent customer service , beautiful design work .Most important to us intuitive and client centered approach to graphic design that exceeds what we can imagine when we approach them with a sketch of an idea. Hire them !
Bonus fact Nile Livingston is one of the portrait Artist at The Colored Girls Museum , now also on view at Mother Bethel.

The Belong Creative team is awesome!
I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Simon and the team over the past few years across filming, editing, and producing video content, and every time, it’s clear how much they care.
They bring professionalism, creativity and innovation to every project, but what really stands out is the way they create a sense of belonging, not just for their clients, but for the crew and people on camera.
They’re not afraid to try something different if it tells a better story - like filming on the fly with real people, real environments, and real emotion. That human, thoughtful approach leads to content that actually connects.
I highly recommend working with the Belong Creative team!

Simon and the team at Belong Creative are a rare find in the agency world. Genuine experts - strategic, creative, organised - who never miss the finer details and nuances about their clients’ brands and what they’re trying to achieve. They know when to push creative boundaries and take real pride in delivering great work. Highly recommend.

Simon Druery and the Belong Creative team are rewriting the brand strategy playbook. As a fellow marketing strategist working in partnership alongside Belong, I'm impressed with their unique 'belonging' philosophy and their signature 'Magnetic Brand Builder' approach. I believe this is what separates Belong Creative from the rest of the creative agencies in Australia. Highly recommend!

Chariot Creative were incredible to work with. Our project development team was not familiar with building websites and Chariot Creative led us patiently by the hand through the entire process. They took our ideas, concepts and content needs and crafted the perfect website-based tool for us and our stakeholders. When we showed the results to our stakeholders around the coastal US, the consistent feedback was how beautiful and engaging the website was - which was critical for the success of our project. Chariot Creative were receptive to our crazy ideas and suggestions ("Is this even possible?") and were able to translate them into reality ("Sure, this is how it would look..."). Then, they even helped design the social marketing strategy for our project. I would (and have) recommend them to anyone needing anything web design, social marketing, SE), etc. They were a pleasure to work with.

Jason and his team are the best in the biz! We weren't sure what to expect going into this process since we had never worked with a company like Chariot before. Jason and his team made the process painless and never once made us feel like we were asking too many questions or that our questions were dumb. They were patient, kind, professional and above all else they are masters at their craft, the proof is in our new logo design and website. The feedback from our clients has been nothing but positive and we can't wait to see what the new year brings with Chariot having our backs with the ongoing website maintenance plan. They really have given us the ability to take our small business to the next level and for that we are grateful.
